PlanGrounds is a marketplace that helps clients discover plans and connect with design professionals. PlanGrounds is operated by Polygen Lab LLC (the operating business you may see on billing, receipts, and legal notices). By using PlanGrounds, you agree to use the platform in good faith: accurate information, lawful content, and respectful communication.
PlanGrounds (operated by Polygen Lab LLC) provides a software platform for listings, messaging, and paid features. Professionals are independent and control their own services, pricing, timelines, and deliverables. PlanGrounds is not an architecture or engineering firm, does not offer professional services through the platform, does not supervise professionals, and does not guarantee outcomes.
When a client hires a professional, the engagement is between the client and the professional. You are responsible for performing your own due diligence, including confirming licensure requirements in your jurisdiction, scope, schedule, and contract terms.
Plan listings, descriptions, estimates, and other information on PlanGrounds are provided for convenience. They are not a substitute for professional services, local code review, engineering, or permitting advice. Always consult qualified local professionals for your specific project.
When a feature is paid, pricing and fees are shown at the point of purchase or acceptance. Our marketing pages summarize published bands and illustrative fee ranges on For professionals — Pricing. For legal and billing purposes, the amount shown in the product when you pay or accept, and—where applicable—any separate written agreement with Polygen Lab LLC that expressly addresses fees, are controlling over website summaries. Payments may be processed by Stripe. The platform fee is typically deducted from the professional’s payout (not charged as a surprise add-on to the client) and is shown before you confirm. For milestone-based projects, clients may fund milestones that are released when approved. Refunds (if any) are handled according to the terms shown at purchase and applicable law.
Plan packages, drawings, PDFs, and other deliverables are provided by the selling professional (or as described in the listing). PlanGrounds does not review, stamp, or certify plans for code compliance, constructability, or fitness for your site. What is included in a purchase—file types, revision rounds, schedule—is defined by the listing, checkout description, and any separate agreement between you and the professional.
Where the product allows you to approve or fund a milestone, that action reflects your confirmationas a user (e.g. that a described deliverable was made available), not a determination by PlanGrounds that the work is adequate for permitting or construction. Extra revisions or scope changes are between client and professional unless explicitly sold through the platform.
Disputes between users should be resolved directly between the client and professional. PlanGrounds may provide tooling or support, but is not a party to the agreement between users.
PlanGrounds is not obligatedto mediate design quality, completeness of drawings, or suitability for a specific jurisdiction. Any optional dispute or refund workflow on the platform is administrative convenience and does not make PlanGrounds the guarantor of professional services.
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless PlanGrounds and its affiliates from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your content, your listings, your professional services, or your use of information obtained through the platform, including disputes with other users. This does not limit any rights you may have that cannot be waived under applicable law.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, PlanGrounds is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for losses arising from engagements between users. PlanGrounds’s total liability for any claim is capped at the amount you actually paid to PlanGrounds in the 12 months before the event that led to the claim. If you paid PlanGrounds nothing in that window—for example you only browsed or messaged for free—that cap is one hundred U.S. dollars ($100). That dollar figure is not a fee we charge you; it is simply the maximum exposure we agree to in that situation under this limitation, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms, attempt to move transactions off-platform in prohibited ways, or misuse the marketplace.
