Founded by architectural designer Diego Enrique Fernandez (Licensed Architect - Chile; ARE in progress), PlanGrounds is operated by Polygen Lab LLC - the name on billing and legal documents.
Finding the right studio - or the right design package - is usually scattered across search, social, and word-of-mouth. Clients don’t have one place to post a clear brief and get comparable proposals; architects and design studios don’t have a focused place to be found and win real engagements. We built PlanGrounds so both sides can connect in a single, transparent flow.

Fees: clients and professionalsWhen you connect with a client or a firm here, we want that relationship to stay on the platform. One place for messages, project history, and (when we support it) contracts and payments means less back-and-forth and a clear record for your next project together.
PlanGrounds is focused on architecture and design professionals. The goal is a curated client community - not a race to the bottom - where great studios engage when open projects match their work and clients hire with clarity.
Browsing, posting a project, and submitting proposals are free. When someone pays through PlanGrounds - today, a plan purchase or a funded contract milestone - we always add a platform fee of 5% on that payment amount as a separate checkout line, plus a card-processing pass-through (about Stripe’s 2.9% + $0.30) so processing is not taken out of that 5%. The client pays those lines on top of the studio or plan amount; the professional receives the service amount shown. We only earn when a deal moves to a paid step here, not when you are still comparing or messaging.
